Caramel Apple Smoothie

The R.W. Knudsen Family® products used in this recipe:


Submitted by Alyssa, age 7, for the R.W. Knudsen Family® smoothie contest.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup R.W. Knudsen Family® Natural Apple juice
  • 1 cup Santa Cruz Organic® Original Applesauce
  • 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Smucker's® Caramel Ice Cream Topping plus 3 teaspoons
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped peanuts or Santa Cruz Organic® Light Roasted Peanut Butter


Directions:

  • Pour the apple juice into a pie plate. Stir in the applesauce. Put plate in freezer.
  • When juice is slushy (about 2 hours) spoon it into a blender. Add the yogurt, 1/4 cup caramel topping and peanuts or peanut butter. Blend at high speed for 5 seconds.
  • Pour into 3 glasses. Stir 1 teaspoon caramel into each smoothie and serve.
