In 1961, when Russel W. Knudsen began bottling fruit juices from his organic grape vineyard, he did so on one condition: his fresh pressed and blended juices would never have artificial flavors, preservatives or sugar added to them.

Russel W. Knudsen started bottling fruit juices from his organic grape vineyard. Initially, Knudsen, who was then a certified organic grower, sold only organic apple and Concord grape juice.

Apple Blend production introduced. The R.W. Knudsen Family Juice line expands to both organic and natural apple and grape juices.

Cider and Spice, Carrot Chips and Very Veggie © line were added to the R.W.Knudsen Family brand portfolio. We were continuing with increased product offerings and the commitment to wholesome, natural products.

The mid eighties offered many varieties, including the introduction of Vita Juice, R.W. Knudsen Family brand's nutritional juice. The line later expanded to include Morning Blend, Lemon Ginger Echinacea and other juices under the Simply Nutritious label.

1985 included the introduction of Recharge © Natural Sports Drink and Fruit Juice Sweetened Spritzers. Spritzers were introduced as an alternative to sodas filled with refined sugars and caffeine.

750 mL Sparkling Fruit Juices were introduced in 1986. These flavorful sparkling juices offered a delicious treat for any occasion.

Pourable Fruit ™ toppings were introduced in 1990. Adhering to the orginal vision for the brand, these products were made from fruit juice, with no artificial ingredients or added sugar.

Spritzer Lights were created without artificial ingredients and were exclusively fruit juice sweetened. Spritzer Lights were a fun, new take on Spritzers and contain 60% fewer carbs and calories than the original Spritzer. Spritzer Lights made the switch from soda and diet drinks easy!

R.W.Knudsen Family volunteers to become the first certified organic processing facility in the U.S.

A smaller bottle was introduced for the Recharge © line for consumers looking to bring these natural sports drinks with them to the gym, on bike rides or anywhere their active lifestyle would take them.

Organic Mulling Spices were introduced to add spice to your favorite beverage - apple juice, cranberry juice or anything that could use a little spice.

In 2006, the R.W. Knudsen Family brand achieved a remarkable 96 percent recycling rate for production, meaning only 4 percent of what comes into our production facility is disposed via landfill.

R.W. Knudsen Family Recharge named offical sports drink of the US Adult Soccer Association.

R.W. Knudsen Family introduces Sensible Sippers ™ juice boxes, offering a lower calorie option for children.

The company was awarded LEED © Gold certification for its newly constructed 157,000-square-foot warehouse which generates 94 percent of its total energy needs.
