  • 4 medium Bosc pears
  • 1(32 oz.) bottle R.W. Knudsen Family® Organic Cranberry Pomegranate Flavored Juice Blend
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1/4 cup Santa Cruz Organic® Blackberry Pomegranate Fruit Spread
  • Santa Cruz Organic® Chocolate Flavored Syrup
  • Pomegranate arils (seeds) for garnish

  1. PEEL pears from stem to base, leaving stems intact. Trim base of pears so they stand up. Lay pears sideways in 3-quart saucepan. Cover with juice. Add cinnamon stick and cloves. Bring to boil over high heat. Reduce to simmer. Cover. Simmer about 10 to 15 minutes or until pears are fork tender. Remove pears, cinnamon stick and cloves. Hold at room temperature or chill until ready to serve.
  2. REDUCE remaining poaching liquid by cooking over high heat until it thickens and measures about 1/4 cup, about 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from heat. Add fruit spread to pan. Stir to combine.
  3. HEAT chocolate sauce according to package directions. Place pears in center of dessert plates. Spoon sauce over pear just until it begins to pool on plate. Make dots of chocolate around sauce. Garnish with arils, if desired.
