  • fully cooked semi-boneless ham (preferably shank portion)
  • Whole Cloves
  • 1 1/2 R.W. Knudsen Family® Sparkling Caramel Apple Flavored Beverage
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves


  • Step 1

    HEAT oven to 325°F. Trim away skin and excess fat, leaving only 1/4-inch fat layer reamining. Score fat on ham, 1/8-inch deep, in diamond pattern. Stud with cloves. Place ham, fat side up in 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Pour 1 1/2 cups caramel apple beverage over ham. Cover with foil. Bake 18 to 24 minutes per pound (1 1/2 to 2 hours), basting every 30 minutes.

  • Step 2

    CARVED HAM WITH AU JUS: POUR pan drippings into gravy separator. Remove and discard the fat. Carve ham as desired. Add accumulated carving juices to Au Jus. Arrange ham on warmed serving platter. Heat Au Jus in small saucepan until warmed. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour desired amount over ham. Serve remaining Au Jus on the side.

  • Step 3

    COMBINE sugar, cinnamon, mustard, cloves and remaining 3 to 4 teaspoons caramel apple beverage in small bowl with fork until smooth glaze forms.

  • Step 4

    REMOVE ham from oven before last 30 minutes of heating time. Discard foil. Brush with glaze. Bake 15 minutes. Brush with glaze again. Bake 15 more minutes or until thermometer reaches 140°F and brown sugar has caramelized, turning golden-brown. Allow ham to rest 10 minutes before carving. Carve ham as desired. Serve with pan juices, if desired.
